Hallandsgården, an open air museum

The Museum of Halmstad is beautifully situated by the river Nissan in the centre of the city of Halmstad on the Swedish west coast. Our permanent art exhibition is called Selected Works - Art from our Collection.
The permanent exhibition on the cultural history of Halland is called Selected Memories - the Keys to Halland's history. We also house temporary exhibitions of art and history.

The museum also consists of the open air museum Hallandsgården - a small Skansen situated on beautiful Galgberget. Brooktorpsgården is another part of the museum.
